Mirrors Lounge
Editorial
As if Brunswick Street needs another bar, you may think. Well, it seems they do, especially when that bar is offering something a little different from the rest. While the name might be reminiscent of some retro 80’s nightclub experience, the look is decidedly less glitzy.
Mirrors is a little more up market than most other Fitzroy bars, however, it’s still a laidback place filled with huge inviting lounges. Downstairs you’ll find a large island bar in the centre of the space with plenty of bar stools, a couple of plasma screens and smoking area. Upstairs serves as more of a function room. Perfect for birthday parties and corporate events, there are facilities for power point projections, a private bar, DJ booth and a dance floor.
There’s an extensive drinks menu and the staff make a great cocktail. For the more sensible among us who like a nibble while they imbibe there’s a good selection of bar snacks such as dips, antipasto, bruschetta, and saganaki.
It draws a mixed crowd who are happy to escape the more raucous bars and clubs along this strip and is especially relaxing for an after work drink. All in all a classy establishment that takes its service and standard of drinks seriously.
