Cutler & Co.
Editorial
It is fitting to start with a glass of French champagne at Cutler & Co. Even if you don't like the stuff you will immediately feel like a glass of bubbly as soon as you set foot in this place. Everything about Cutler & Co just makes you want to forget the fact you really can't afford to be there. For those who refuse to let go of reality there is, obligingly, Carlton Draught on tap.
Visiting Cutler & Co is to the design-conscious like being the proverbial kid in the lolly shop. McConnell's partner, architect Pasquale Gomes-McNabb, has created a stunning environment. From the attached metal canopy perched over the bar to the smaller touches such as the glass cylinder light fittings.
Then there's the food. The best thing about drinking in a bar that's part of an award-winning restaurant is you can expect more than a packet of Nobby's Nuts here. How about this for a bar snack? Pressed quail terrine, orange and pistachio!
You may walk away from Cutler & Co a little lighter in the back pocket but you will be happy my friend. I promise.
