Located along the waterfront promenade at Docklands, Fix occupies some of the best real estate in Melbourne. Spread over three separate areas, the venue combines plush furniture, contemporary design and sweeping views with a sophisticated cocktail selection. While the modern decor gives the place a bright and relaxed elegance, the focus is definitely on the panoramic views. If the weather is holding up there's also separate balcony where you can pick up some afternoon sea breezes.
The cocktail menu is pitched towards an upwardly mobile Dockland's crowd and takes in a selection of classics and custom drinks. Reassuringly, their Long Island Ice Teas feature all five types of booze (vodka, gin, tequila, white rum and Cointreau). While the cocktail is notorious, any venue that doesn't skimp on the Cointreau has some pride in their drinks. That's a good sign. The $16 flat rate for cocktails is also welcome.
If you're looking to turn a couple of quite drinks into a proper night on the town, Fix is a great place to get the ball rolling. Inspired by international lounge bars, it's a sleek and modern addition to the areas burgeoning bar scene.

The bar had a great relaxed atmosphere with heaps of lounges and plenty of room for people to move around. The music was full of variety and suited to the young patrons. The bar staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The views over the bay were awesome which added to the casual feel of the bar.
