Sitting proud on the corner of Elgin and Lygon, with the trams merrily trundling past, Percy's Bar & Bistro is a stalwart of the Carlton fine dining scene. There's nothing fancy here, just good back to basics fare done well. The beers stick to the tried and tested taps too, and there's a warm, old-school vibe to the place. The decent prices means Percy's is equally popular with young student-types from the University of Melbourne as it is with the little wizened old Italian fellas who prop up the bar. Somehow it all works just fine.
