The Brunswick Green
Editorial
The cosy front bar and adjoining lounge are very conducive to 'deep and meaningfuls' with friends over a bottle of red. In summer the action all happens outside. The beer garden is like any backyard in Brunswick - if they came with picnic tables and umbrellas, that is. A purpose-built stage elevates the live bands who play throughout the week and weekends. While tables abound, there's also a decent patch of grass to luxuriate on. The pool table is often commandeered by student types early on in the evening, so be prepared for some serious challenging to get a game in.
If feeling a little peckish, the food from Rolfy's Kitchen is above average. In fact, the sausage rolls, (yes, sausage rolls), are a particular crowd pleaser.

Staff are friendly and helpful. I have been many times and they are all always lovely. No coffee but happy to go next door and get one, how more helpful can they be than that?

Love this place, only cash, but there is an atm down the road. Staff are definitely not rude. Just a great place to relax with friends without any pretentiousness. On a busy night, be prepared to line up for the loo.
