I Carusi may not look like much at first glance, in fact it positively wobbles on the edge of faux Italian hokery, but don't let that put you off diving in both feet first to this delightful East Brunswick eatery. Its reputation certainly precedes it, with many in Melbourne arguing this was the birth place of the pizza-focused restaurant. And my, what pizzas they are. Outstanding doesn't even cut the crust, frankly. Delicately thin bases and the finest fresh ingredients wood-fired would make any nonna proud. Even better, there's no designer pizza price tag either.
