Albert Park's former Red Eagle has, well, spread its wings, undergone an extensive makeover/modernization and is now affectionately known as Hotel Nest. The venue's subtle balance of one part sophisticated, cocktail sipping swank and one part European beer hall, sees the venue attracting both high-profile types and well-to-do locals all week round.
With 42 beers and an extensive range of fine wines available from across the white marble bar, a premium cocktail bar at the rear of the venue, and a soon-to-be opened courtyard (boasting a woodfired, pizza oven,) Hotel nest is nothing if not incredibly versatile. Similarly, the extensive tapas menu, bar menu and ability to order the nightly specials from the dining room, sees Nest catering for both communal nibbling and those interested in an up-market, sit-down meal.
Upstairs, the 200-capacity event space makes an ideal venue for corporate functions requiring a certain understated class. The location, new chic, modern decor and near unparalleled versatility are set to reinvent this location as an institution for the well-to-do Albert Park set. Not for the feint of wallet, pack that plastic and have a great night out.

Fantastic venue. Some friends and I visited Hotel Nest last weekend for some food and drinks, we all had a fantastic night, great selection of beers, wines and spirits, Bar food was delicious and the Resturuant menu looks even better, Staff were friendly and welcoming and the clientel were a much nicer crowd than when its was known as The Red Eagle. I will be definately going back.

A delightful array of bar staff as diverse as the bottled beers collection makes this place a unique get away from the hustle and bustle of busy city bars. Bar food was excellent served up with the charm of an Irish accent, myself and my girlfriends will most definitely be returning to this establishment.

Had a wonderful time at Hotel Nest last weekend food and drinks where devine, i will definately be returning.
