Pier One Restaurant & Bar
Editorial
Set on the banks of the Derwent River, Pier One Restaurant and Bar offers spectacular views. Secure a position on the outside deck and you'll have crystal clear water within arm's reach. If it's the middle of winter, you can enjoy the panoramic views from inside. The bar boasts floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing one of the best panoramas in Hobart. All of this is complimented with an upmarket, futuristic design aesthetic - think earthy tones, industrial design elements and sleek furniture.
The wine list has a strong local focus and takes in Tasmanian vintages you simply won't find elsewhere. There's a good selection available by the glass and the bottled prices are more than reasonable. If you're looking for something with a bit more kick, there's also an extensive cocktail selection. Whether it's a balmy summer day or the dead of winter, there's nothing like a good cocktail and views of the Tasmanian landscape. Especially when said cocktail comes in at $15.
With a great atmosphere, friendly service and extensive drinks selection, this waterfront bar and restaurant is well worth a visit. But it might be an idea to book ahead if you want the full, out by the water experience.
