Hotel New York
Editorial
Since setting up shop in 2008, the New York has established itself as a essential port of call on the touring circuit. The likes of Kate Miller Heidke, Bertie Blackman and The Basics have done time at this boutique bar as have headliner DJs such as Kid Kenobi, Ian Carey and Potbelleez. The one thing this dispirit talent pool has in common is an obvious passion for new music and beats, with the ultimate beneficiaries being the Hotel New York culture-loving patrons.
The music venue has played host to everyone from Brisbane based Indie pop band The Boat People, to legendary Sydney DJ/producer William Cate, known as DJ Goodwill.
Hotel New York features two separate bars with the larger space housing the dance crowd and the other essentially a chill out zone with funky leather couches and a well-stocked cocktail bar.
If you're visiting Launceston for the weekend, this funky boutique hotel has got you covered with affordable double and single en suite style rooms also available for hire.

Hotel New York is a fantastic hotel with an acceptable value for money. The public spaces as well as the rooms are very clean. Breakfast is rich and healthy. For a three star hotel, I think they give you more than take anything from you. I'd come back there anytime. http://www.hotel.info/en.hotels/New_York_City_18492/hotels.aspx
