TLC are the initials and they're what you get in this new and groovy little corner cafe from some of the most experienced baristas in town.

Editorial

It used to be a hairdressing shop. Now it's all red and black and shiny with chrome, stainless steel and large glass windows: a very welcoming dining space in suburban West Hobart, only a minute drive from the CBD heart. Managed and staffed by some of the city's most experienced baristas, waiters and cooks, TLC has been a hit from day one thanks to the quality of its food and the friendly, professional service. A loyal clientele is attracted to what has become one of the city's best breakfast and casual lunch destinations.

The fluffiest, butteriest croissants come with three homemade jams, often including a wonderful, tangy cumquat marmalade. The Segafreddo coffee is consistently excellent, the product of experienced and caring baristas. Teas are loose leaf T2 selections, served in a pot. The same emphasis on freshness and quality ingredients is apparent in such dishes as eggs with grilled zucchini and aioli on sourdough, warm-from-the-oven muffins, the biscuits and such luscious cakes as blackberry and passionfruit or pear and cinnamon. Specials boards list the savoury and sweet additions and these are often a very good place to start. But with that TLC touch, it's hard to go wrong wherever you start.
