Syrup

places|tas|hobart|syrup
A sweet and inebriated experience nestled in the chilly climes of Hobart town, Syrup begins its life in the soberer hours as a restaurant, before warming up punters with its rotisserie of groove-inducing DJs and dancefloor hotness.

Editorial

Although most of Australia may forget there's a small island at the very bottom of the country, there's a beating heart of dance music keeping one very special dancefloor packed and pumping into the early hours. That heartbeat is known as Syrup. A tribute to the best dance clubs of the world, this is no small change affair (judging by the decor).

Not only are up and coming DJs cutting their teeth here, but some pretty top talent has also passed across the decks. The likes of the Bang Gang Deejays, One Love peeps, Green Velvet, DJ YokoO and many more have a kept punters bouncing on the hardwood longer than you can say, "I'll have a vodka Red Bull."

Of course, if you're not there to dance, feel free to recline in one of the many leather couches and take in some flocked wallpaper. Seating is arranged to maximise interaction with that potential "significant other", so settling in is advised. The cocktail list may not be that imaginative, but there are enough favourites to keep you moving down the list all night.
