Observatory
Editorial
All this style and elegance makes for a welcoming and rather open space, so depending on your mood you can boogie to the DJ, or stand around mingling and try your luck at finding that someone special. This is one of those places where you drop in for an early evening aperitif, and then maybe stay on for the pumping nightclub action that emerges around 10pm. Dance music includes retro and commercial house, contemporary commercial house and chillout sessions on Sundays.
The Observatory offers an impressive 40+ killer cocktail list. I indulged in the ever-popular mojito, a Brazilian mix of spicy rum, fresh mint leaves, sugar, lime juice and soda - perfect for a warm night at the wharf. There's also an extensive and well-curated selection of beer and wine, including of course local Tasmanian labels.
If you get the nibbles, try the Chef's tapas-style dishes for some tasty delicacies. The Thai coconut chicken bites were a real highlight.

hahaha, a stunning home for the beautiful people?! that's over selling it a little, don't you think? in my experience, it's been mostly meateads chasing after easy slags in dresses that are just far too short. that to me does not fit the picture of beautiful, or really anything close. two for one fishbowls on wednesdays are pretty cool though.
