Mobius Lounge Bar
Editorial
Some venues who have an admirable dedication to music don’t realise that you don’t have to provide an over the top, glitzy joint as well. In fact, for music aficionados, the less distraction from the sounds the better. This is a good thing for cash strapped venue owners to remember, supply decent enough DJ’s and you don’t have to fork out hundreds of thousands on a glamour pad.
Mobius Lounge are a savvy lot who know this. Here music is king and the fit out is, well, understated to say the least. Decked out with op shop furniture, this is a down to earth place that more resembles a house party than a nightclub.
The no attitude environment and the fact that they tout themselves as being ‘Tasmania’s most relaxed bar’ will be enough to attract some punters, but, the real draw card is the music. An ongoing array of local and international DJ’s grace the decks at Mobius and the crowd of twenty something’s are very appreciative. Mobius is relaxed for sure, but it can also be high energy.
There’s loads of special events nights, and drink special which ensure that a night out here won’t break the bank, so for those who are after the latest drink concoctions that require organic pomegranate juice or freshly squeezed mango nectar, you will be disappointed. Stick to beer and basic spirits and let the DJ’s work their magic.

Mobius has some great hip music and to all appearances is a tolerant place BUT if you are a little different beware !! Tasmania does not have a history of being progressive , and this establishment may trap the unwary. Be careful if you go there !! You may not leave in one piece.

wow i'd pretty much completely disagree with that one Ben. It's easily the most tolerant venue i've been to in Hobart.
