Get gourmet in the Barossa Valley with the Saltram Lavish Lunch by indulging in a three-course lunch and wine-tasting.

Editorial

The Barossa Valley is best known for its acres of vineyards and clutter of cellar doors, however it's also the home of gourmet food producers. It's the production site of Maggie Beer's dinner party mainstays (pate, verjuice and ice-cream), and Angas Park Fruit Company produces their snacktastic dried fruit in the township of Angaston. Saltram Estate boutique winery is located in the heart of the Barossa's gourmet produce region and offers an experience that combines the region's best food and wine.

Dubbed the Saltram Lavish Lunch, the experience is $49.50 per person and available daily at Salters Restaurant, located within the estate. Guests are greeted by homemade bread, local olive oil and wild olives before being spoilt by a three-course lunch. The menu is adapted to make best use of seasonal produce, and your luncheon also includes a Saltram tasting bar package called The Saltram Story. Hosted by a wine educator, this tutored tasting experience includes tastings and a history of Barossa Valley wines including sparkling, whites, reds, varietals and blends. Salters Restaurant at Saltram Estate is open for lunch from noon till 3pm daily, and for dinner 6pm till 9pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Saltram Lavish Lunch operates with a minimum of two people.
