Grimaldi's
Editorial
With Adelaide's climate being very similar to the Mediterranean, local farmers are growing fabulous produce which Grimaldi's showcases in its seasonal monthly menu. Located opposite the popular Burnside Shopping Centre and directly below the cinema, it's a popular venue for both lunch and dinner. In the evenings the atmosphere is informal, lively and busy. If you need a rest from shopping, the lunch menu offers a wide and tasty selection like cauliflower soup with white truffle oil; bruschetta with roasted pumpkin, beetroot and Taleggio; or pear, blue cheese, walnut and wiltlof salad.
If you're feeling pretty hungry and need something substantial then try the gnocchi gratin with ricotta, spinach and Neapolitan sauce; smoked cod, fennel and tomato risotto with green olive tapenade; or the roast Supreme with soft polenta, broccolini and porcini jus. The dinner menu is the same as lunch but also includes Grimaldi's legendary pizzas which are a popular choice before or after a movie. Try a Ripiena folded pizza filled with spicy salsiccia, mushrooms, bacon and mozzarella or the Greco with grilled chicken, spinach, onion, fetta, lemon zest and yoghurt. If it's dessert you're after then you can't go past their signature tiramisu, accompanied by a traditional Italian coffee using the renowned local Rio brand.
