#10 Cucina e Bar
Editorial
Upon entering, the room is both impressive and inviting. The timber wall panelling and crisp, white tablecloths invoke authority, while the soothing aromas from the woodfired pizza oven permeate the room.
The ground floor hosts the fine dining and outdoor areas, but upstairs you'll find the important part - the cocktail lounge. On your way up, be sure to make a pit stop in the temperature-controlled wine room, which is home to an extensive selection including a number of regional Italian drops.
If you're in a sweeter mood, the cocktail list is there for you. A nod to the Euro-centric menu, the Basil Grande is a favourite - muddled lime, strawberries and basil, topped with vodka, Chambord, cranberry and cracked black pepper.
While you might intend to just pop in for a quick, quiet drink, chances are you won't get out the door without having nibbled on something, be it the crumbed sardines or the more filling panini fresh from the oven.
