Magill Estate restaurant has amazing food, but thats if they don't cancel your reservation!!! My partner had made reservation 3 weeks before valentines day for a suprise dinner for th two of us only to have a phone call the day b4 informing us that our table had been given to another party for not confirming our reservation, (which upon booking we had not even been told about!) sadly the restaurant supervisor was rude and acused us of lying about not being told and left us with out a reservation

I went to that place really not hoping to be blown away by the food, but at the least to go home filled up. How does a Wagyu half the size of a man's wallet for a main course do to that? With 4 other courses of the same size? Didn't look too flash even with those gigantic plates they had. And unfortunately, the food was ok & classy, but not great at all. Definitely NOT WORTH THE COST. And how about getting asked to pay an extra $360 for people who weren't even there?!?! We had reserved for 12 people, but unfortunately only 9 came because of strong rains that night. Without even offering their so-called "rule" (of paying for the reserved number of people regardless of how many came) beforehand, we were served for 9 people but asked to pay for 12. That without even asking if we wanted the other 3 sets served as well since we were paying for them anyway. Alas when the bill came, an extra $360 to cover for the absentees whose food they never served. Just inappropriate.
