XO Supper Club
Editorial
Without a doubt, the XO Supper club certainly pulls out all the stops to position itself as the premier dining and drinking destination of Adelaide. Sitting at the upper end of the scale, you can tell that much pride is taken in plumping up the cocktail menu with as many seasonal and luscious concoctions that nature will allow. Likewise, when they boast about offering over 400 wine varietals, this is not hubris; after you see what's on offer, you'd be boasting as well. Add to this a premium selection of spirits, beers and a menu of gourmet treats that would make Jamie Oliver weak at the knees, and you have every reason to leave the house, all under one superbly designed roof.
Although the beer selection may not be that inspiring (it's a reliable list of local and international, standard and boutique beers), you'd be wasting your time if you came here simply for amber liquid. The wine list, broken into grape varieties and regions/countries, covers a wide selection of the world's best - dominated by French, New Zealand and Australian drops - with some delightful dessert and fortified wines thrown in (try the Pedro Xemenez for a sticky, adult treat).
And if you find yourself developing some hunger pangs, then a quick peruse of the tapas menu will yield some truly indulgent treats. Try the pork, veal and pinenut meatballs with a hearty red, the honey lacquered pork belly with a crisp white, or simply head straight to the lavender brulee. Either way, your tastebuds will thank you.

Nothing beats a friendly smile and Grey Goose Martini- Dirty, after a hard day at work. XO delivers exactly that & more- in style For Tapas- try watermelon, mint, prosciutto and fetta (especially on a hot day), honey roasted pork belly and dukkah crusted chicken & chips with chilli jam (the jam captures the flavour of chilli without being too overbearing). If you still have room for Mains, try the Macaroni and Cheese. Some will think "What The" (It is $26 after all) There are occasions when you miss those closest and dearest, and for me this is my cure- XO's Mac&Cheese-the perfect comfort food. It's hugs and kisses in a bowl. Finally, le piece de resistance- the apple crumble pizza. Give it a go- words are not enough to describe how exquisite it is. I haven't written anything re wine list-I can only write 1000words. Expect to wobble out of XO at the end of the night! In short: Martini-to die for, Wine list-hard to beat, ambience-effortlessly classic, food-amazing gra
