Rocket Bar

Rock it at Rocket. Yep, we said it. Home to regular Modular Records parties, fashion parades, coolsie bands and DJs, and the most painfully hip crowd this side of the Hay Plain, Rocket is one effing fine club.

Editorial

It's hard to fault Rocket Bar. Sure, Adelaide may not be known as the cultural capital of Australia, but we sure know how to party. And Rocket bar are known far and wide to have a few tricks up their sleeves in that regard. A late-to-open, late-to-close party venue, make your way upstairs to this bar of quasi-retro decor and beat-focussed tunes. DJs play a mix of the latest electro, R&B and hip hop tunes (depending on which night you rock up), plus there's a heap of touring acts from national and international locales throughout the month.

Drinks have a simple focus, with mixed spirits and bottled beer the booze of choice. Handcrafted and boutique brews from local and international breweries offer a wide variety for beer drinkers. While basic spirits tend to be more on the budget side. Not that you're here for amazing beverages - it's all about the beats. This all goes hand-in-hand with the crowd the bar attracts; a lively and haphazard collection of 20-somethings. Easy on the eye and fleet of foot, they move and shake like it's the last night on earth.
