PJ O'Brien's Irish Pub
Editorial
At P J O'Brien's Irish Pub, you won't need the luck of the Irish to find yourself a new BFF for the night. All you'll need is a little Dutch courage, conveniently available from one of the many beers on tap at this most rambunctious of pubs. The Irish pub is a formula hard to get wrong, and the PJs chain are pretty good purveyors of all that is good about the franchise; particularly the Guinness appreciation and live music aspect, which never seem to get dull.
From comedy and trivia nights, DJs, Guinness nights and the ubiquitous Ladies Night, PJs has many entertainment options covered. Add a little live music and some shows during Fringe Festival, and you have yourself a pretty happening Irish pub. Folk music - loved across Ireland as much as U2 - also gets its own night, with local acts getting on stage to make the lasses swoon. This makes a welcome change to other Irish pubs that pipe nothing but U2 through their stereo, 24-7.
You can also grab a pretty decent snack or pub meal here, with burgers, steaks, salad and seafood all acceptably priced. If it's good enough for the Irish international rules team, it's good enough for you.
