Mirage At Embassy
Editorial
Mirage at Embassy is the latest addition to the Adelaide bar and restaurant scene. Stylish and contemporary, it boasts striking lighting features, polished wood floors and a minimal approach to decor. Complementing all this is a genuine dedication to cocktails. According to the Mirage, "cocktails should not only be about flavours, but textures". On that note, every drink comes with a gourmet accompaniment. Perhaps you'd like to try the Wild Turkey shaken with grilled pineapple, caramel, sweet vermouth and presented with crunchy local honeycomb? Or maybe the Bacardi 8 mixed with fresh pear, cloudy apple juice, a drizzle of maple syrup and served with prosciutto and caramelised fig is more your scene? If it's innovative, chances are Mirage at Embassy invented it.
If you prefer something a little more traditional, the wine selection is extensive and there's also an assortment of imported beers available. Alternatively, you could opt for a regular old Manhattan without all the extras thrown at you. With a restaurant next to the bar (think: white table clothes and European-inspired menu) and the Embassy Hotel above, Mirage is ideal for both a quick drink or a proper night of wining and dining.
