Fumo Blu, now with a focus more on liquids rather than smoke, is one of Adelaide’s slickest wine and spirit bars.

Editorial

Located downstairs off Rundle Street in the East End, one can descend from the busy street life and relax in the ultra modern interior. It's a theme park of spirits, wines, cocktails and beers. One of the specialties is the range of blended and single malt whiskies. Indulge in anything from Johnny Walker Red to a 25 year-old Bunnahabhain if you feel like splurging. Don't expect anything that won't impress. The Champagne line up is one of the best I have seen in Adelaide. You can purchase a bottle for $40 or spend up to $550. Needless to say there are only a couple made available by the glass. Cocktails however are quite affordable, with a bottom price of $14 and topping at $20.

It's one of those places where you can never quite see who's sitting over in the other corner, resulting in an intimate atmosphere to enjoy with that one special person or with a group of friends. A beautiful illuminated tropical aquarium is the stunning feature of the bar.

If alcohol, dark spaces and aquariums are not enough to entertain your senses, then order one of the cheese platters. They go perfectly with a local or imported red or white, and may even prove helpful in being able to navigate the stairs after so much fine drink.
