Elysium Lounge
Editorial
It's open for lunch and dinner but is well renowned for cocktails and spirits. And with the large range on offer, it's no wonder Elysium is a popular little place. I say little because the venue holds about 100 people, so if you stroll up too late you may have to wait. And it's not just your tastebuds Elysium intends to satisfy. DJs complete the sensory experience with cool sounds to treat your ears.
Given this is a cocktail lounge, it's a little more expensive than the pub, but it's not over-priced. The drinks are well worth it. There are even some drink specials available, varying from evening to evening. The other beauty of this venue is, if you don't like having to mix with the other members of the general public, simply hire the whole place and have it all to yourself.
Inside you will find a bar totally devoted to the beauty of the spirit. Towers of bottles line the back wall of the bar. The rest of the space has a very stylised, retro feel that's comfortable and easy on the eye.
So next time you're wandering the streets of the West End, with the anticipation of having sweet seducing liquor on your lips, or maybe if it's too early for that and you need something a little more nutritious like a Caesar salad, Elysium Lounge is one great spot to head for.
