Lock'n'Load
Editorial
The atmosphere upon entering is one of instant relaxation. A laidback pub vibe in simple and stylish surrounds is what to expect here. Polished floorboards, lots of wood and large open windows greet you in the bar area. However, walk a little further in and you'll find yourself in the equally pleasant bistro. Walk a little further again and you're met with a tropical and tranquil courtyard.
Upstairs is for those serious about their gastronomy. Also upstairs you will find a balcony that seems as if it has been specifically designed for people watching.
There's not much to complain about at Lock'n'Load. Apart from a somewhat dated wine selection, they have over thirty beers to choose from and a killer cocktail list. However, it's the dinner diners who are in for a real treat. This is gourmet pub food at its best. Start with the warmed wild Australian olives and move onto the smoked bacon and white wine risotto balls with parmesan mayo. All mains are gluten-free. Happy hour runs every weekday from 4-6pm. What more could you ask for?
