You can’t accuse the Gold Coast of being light on nightlife. With plenty of places for live bands (unlike other cities in this country) the party is never far away. The Surfers Paradise Tavern is legendary. It’s been providing entertainment to sun lovers for over 85 years. The newly refurbished beer garden overlooks all the action of Cavill Avenue and is absolutely pumping most nights. Despite how rowdy it can get, the vibe is relaxed and friendly. There’s a great range of live music from rock to Latin and DJ’s of a weekend. Drinks are standard but reasonably priced.
