Went there on New Years Eve. The owner was very very friendly & chatty while we ordered.3 of us had the Wagyu Rump (Rare & medium rare). Tough, overcooked and without any taste at all. Potato Rosti was gluggy and inedible. could not catch the owners eye. All 3 meals went back uneaten. First time I've never been able to eat my meal. No apologies. No-one interested. The only other meal ordered was Caeser Salad and it was enjoyed by our 4th guest. Would never go there again.

myself and six companions dined at the Star Cafe in Southbank, firstly for breakfast on a Sunday - our meals were stunning, but we were appauled with the service. Despite this we felt compelled to return for dinner the same day after reviewing the evenings menu. again dinning around 7.30pm, our meals were fantastic let down only by the service.
