Obsession Restaurant
Editorial
Obsession Chinese Restaurant and Cafe is located in Little Stanley Street opposite the gorgeous South Bank parklands. It has everything that you look for in a restaurant with chic, modern decor with an Asian twist, sophisticated entertainment, a menu that is bound to impress even the most critical connoisseur and a fantastic view. Obsession is a licensed restaurant and its comprehensive wine list complements the fine flavours that the chefs, with over 30 years experience, create in the open-style kitchen. The modern Asian cuisine has a strong Chinese influence, which is evident when you realise that the noodles are handmade using an ancient tradition dating back hundreds of years and requiring amazing skill. Sit back and relax while waiting for a delicious serve of salt and pepper squid, followed by Singapore-style Moreton Bay bugs, or a spicy kung po chicken. If you are dining as a group then why not choose from the two banquet options, featuring sang choy bau (a tasty minced chicken dish wrapped in crisp lettuce) and Szechuan scallop with king prawns. The restaurant has daily specials featuring fresh local produce such as mud crab and fresh fish which are transformed into flavoursome and creative dishes. All in all an excellent dining experience.
