A favourite park for Brisbanites is the sensational New Farm Park. Making it so favoured are the 40,000 individual plants, aroma of the hundreds of varieties of roses, Jacaranda lined drive, Moonlight cinema, fig tree playground for the kids (perfect for hide and seek), tennis courts, soccer fields and croquet lawns. The wonders of the mouth-watering offerings at the weekend Farmer's Market keep people coming back, as does the novelty of taking a ferry to and from the park. The Rotunda more often than not offers some terrific entertainment, plus there's the cafe at the Brisbane Powerhouse where you can whet your whistle.
