Ate Ate Ate
Editorial
For a Frenchy affair that tickles the tastebuds, Ate Ate Ate welcomes with an authentically husky, bonjour! Combining modern French cuisine with our wonderful local produce, the dishes showcase typical European methodology with an Aussie touch. The decor, however, sidesteps a sunny Queensland atmosphere and is instead quietly sophisticated and affectionately warm. A sultry curtained wall acts as a backdrop to the crisply set tables and wrought iron chairs. In contrast, stools pull up to a bar which looks out onto the suburb’s night-time foot traffic through wide windows.
Simple furnishings, dishes and seasonal produce make Ate Ate Ate’s rich, hearty dining experience all the more appealing. The braised wild boar shoulder with tarragon mash, prunes, walnuts and broad beans is a favourite while the Queensland spanner crab with seasonal greens is a popular entree among locals. Desserts are just as mouth-watering with sweet treats like chewy meringue with vodka creme fraiche and poached pear, and the deconstructed chocolate tart. Ate Ate Ate is warm, friendly and intimate, making it an ideal location for romancing an evening away, or getting together with a small group.
