Arriva Italian Restaurant
Editorial
There are a multitude of pizza places to choose from in and around Brisbane. Some, however, seem to overcomplicate the process with too many ingredients saturating the flavour experience. Arriva, on the other hand, follows a simple yet effective ethos where less is more. The classic pizza is not one laden with goods on a heavy, doughy base but rather a simple array of a few ingredients matched well to take advantage of each flavour. The proof is definitely in the pie here as Arriva has taken Best Pizza from the Restaurant and Catering Awards in 2006 and 2008.
Owners and chefs, Mark and Brook, approach the art of delivering a fine pizza with flair and authenticity. A traditional home-style method is followed closely with only the freshest and best ingredients. Everything is prepared daily to ensure quality and consistency with Arrivas famed recipes. Some of the delicious pizzas on offer include the gamberone, a white base with prawns, garlic and diced fresh tomato, and the salsiccia which comes with Italian sausage, mushrooms and Spanish onion. For those who prefer something a little spicier try the calabrese, with hot salami, mushrooms, roasted capsicums and olives served with chilli oil. There are two great calzones on the menu as well. On top of that, Arriva offers a wide range of pasta and risotto dishes which again closely follow a traditional Italian-style cooking to ensure an authentic taste.
