African restaurants are few and far between in Brisbane, however there are a smattering of places well worth a try. This pleasant Eritrean eatery with its African art adorning its walls is serving up some of the best East African food in Brisbane. Most dishes are served with injera, a fermented flat bread which is made fresh to order. Try the sambusa sigha, spicy meat pastries for entrée then move onto the share platters to sample much of the menu. The vegetarian stews are outstanding. The staff are all former refugees so it’s a good place to support too.
