The suburb or Maroooka is home to ‘Little Africa’ and so for lovers of African food it is somewhat of a paradise. Made in Africa has a loyal following who don’t just come here for the food, but for all things African. There’s a home-wares shop and regular music nights too. This is classic East African food so expect lots of injera (fermented flat bread) topped with meaty stews or plenty of vegetarian options. Fairtrade coffee is big here too so try to come on a night where you can experience the ritual of their coffee ceremony. A good all-rounder.
