Lure Seafood Restaurant, The Coro Hotel
Editorial
Gold spheres hang from the Lure's light fittings to meet large windows and an obstructed view of The Coro Hotel's lawn. A red feature wall lined with white leather couches runs along one side of the restaurant, metallic stools stand tall at the bar, and tables for two or 10 fill the remaining space. Chilled bottles of wine are on display, while blue glassware and white table linen hark back to the seaside theme. The mantra at Lure is quality - quality service, quality presentation and, above all else, quality produce. Lure prides itself on the fresh, locally sourced seafood, meats, herbs and vegetables which are used to craft the menu.
Having been awarded winner of Queensland's Best Seafood Restaurant three times over, Lure's obvious specialty is seafood, with the pan-seared coral trout and grilled prawns the most talked-about dish. There's also steamed snapper with kaffir lime and lemongrass, the Eyre Peninsula hirasama kingfish and the seared Tasmanian ocean trout, to name a few. Lure plays host to local fine food aficionados and international guests looking to experience modern Australian seafood at its finest. The comfort and quality of Lure restaurant makes it a memorable experience and its private dining room and separate lounge area make it popular for both corporate and casual functions.
