Churrasco (pronounced shoo-ras-co) is a 400-year-old barbecuing method made famous by South American ranchers in Southern Brazil. The meats are heavily salted and typically cooked over an open fire whilst being basted in brine to keep the meats juicy. At Brazilian Touch you will be treated to authentic variety of meats and accompaniments served Rodizio style.

If you're after more than a mere meal, Brazilian Touch in Fortitude Valley will set you straight with a night of sizzling South American dance theatre to go with a fabulously flavoured feast. Diners sashay into the restaurant at 6.30pm and are quickly directed to the bar where pre-dinner drinks are on the agenda. The adventurous can sample the restaurant's signature cocktail flavoured with lime and exotic ingredients direct from Brazil or simply stick to a glass of wine. Once seated, waiters will dash about to serve the selection of five meats, barbecued Brazilian style, while guests help themselves to the buffet of salads, fruit platters and desserts. Vegetarians won't go hungry and the buffet means you can fill up your plate as much as you like.

The restaurant comes alive at 8.30pm as the dancers take to the floor for an energetic display of Brazilian dance including the Salsa and the Samba Lambada. By 9.30pm the audience, imbued with the Latin rhythm, is invited to join in the dancing which shimmies and shuffles into the late hours of the night. If dancing isn't your forte then sit back and relax while you enjoy the food, the drink and the entertainment. Be sure to book ahead to witness this dining and dancing extravaganza, which is only available on Friday and Saturday nights.
