V Lounge is set in the heart of Fortitude Valley at the more sophisticated end, where the higher profile restaurants are located. It occupies a narrow space that opens out onto the street and is a perfect vantage point to enjoy a drink and some people watching. Alternatively, you can recline in one of the private booths with a group of friends and munch your way through some delectable Vietnamese cuisine before returning to the bar, or moving on to one of the many venues Fortitude Valley has to offer.
The menu features Vietnamese dishes in an uncomplicated format. The meals are divided into sections such as entree offerings and rice mains and then labelled by number. Despite this simplified form of menu, the food is fresh, presentable and delicious. For an entree, share the three-times marinated quail between friends or choose some freshly rolled prawn rice paper rolls and plump tiger prawns wrapped in crispy Asian pastry. Mains offer a number of noodle and rice dishes. Choose from wok-fried Hokkien noodles with tiger prawns, Asian greens and fish cakes or chicken fillet in a ginger sauce served with rice.
