A big and popular haunt with multiple bars, the Jubilee draws in the crowds

Editorial

A rather fetching old building on the corner of Pauls Terrace and Constance, the Jubilee Hotel has had some love put into it over the years. In other words, he's been here a long time but hasn't let herself go. This frankly massive venue is rarely anything but crammed, with a modern design sensibility that makes it feel more than just a big beer barn.

There are several different bar areas here, as well as the obligatory gaming room, so plenty of opportunity to find as quiet or as raucous a spot as you'd like. The bistro serves up pretty tasty fare, and you can grab lighter snacks on the deck bar. Specials keep things interesting every day of the week, with $10 rumps, prams and roast among the highlights.

Everywhere you turn there is sports memorabilia, but the classic fit out stops it from feeling overly bogan, and makes it more of an inviting place to hang out with mates at the weekend. There is often a live band on the go to for those up for a bit of aural pleasure.
The beer on offer sticks to the tried and tested, with Tooheys and XXXX the main players, and a stock standard wine list. As it's such a big space, with multiple bars spread throughout the venue, the Jubilee actively encourages private bookings for parties. It's also worth booking ahead for a bite to eat at after work or at the weekends, because the place really draws the crowds.
