There was a time in Australia when Mexican food was relegated to that well-loved franchise, Taco Bill. There hasn’t been anything to rival that haven of nachos and Friday night margaritas, until now. Guzman y Gomez has stepped it up a few notches however. Founder, Steven Marks, grew up on Mexican food. He has even named his restaurants after two childhood friends. He’s passionate about Mexican food and it shows. While the humble taco continues to be a favourite, it is the quesadillas that are a real stand-out - try the pork chipotle. Some locations are even licensed.
