Bank Vault Lounge
Editorial
Bank Vault Lounge is one stylish, aesthetically pleasing affair. Housed in - surprise, surprise - an old bank building, the bar is actually divided into various themed rooms, all with a slight change in focus. The crowd here doesn't often get rowdy - it's more of a grab-a-drink-and-relax type of affair.
The cocktail offering is pretty standard, if not disappointing. No molecular mixology here; just cocktail classics made with standard ingredients. While it might have been hilarious to order a Slippery Nipple 10 years ago, today it just seems passe (does anyone even drink Sambuca these days?). But, they do serve a pretty mean Long Island Iced Tea, if you're in the mood to forget your evening.
What Bank does offer is a pretension-free environment to lounge around in. While there may be big-screen TVs above the bar, they don't always show sport. And if you'd prefer, the lounge bar - Investments - offers a little more ambience than the hustle and bustle of the main bar. Swing into the Stocks bar if you want to challenge that pool shark who fleeced you last week. Or move into the Safe room if you're after a little more intimacy - the dim lighting and soft furnishings seem hell bent on helping you turn that first date into the start of a new relationship.
