Tinbilly Travellers Bar

It's cheap and cheerful and packed full of young globe-hoppers at the Tinbilly Traveller's back to basics bar.

Editorial

Well, first things first - this is a backpackers, so unless you're the sort who like to prey on young folks far from home, it’s not really the bar to hang out in. It’s full of blow through on their gap year, making the most of the joints enviable city centre location, right on the edge of Roma Street Park.
It's a busy bar, catering for the young things, with loud house music DJs, live bands and even the excruciating aural assault of karaoke some nights. Big screens play sport for those inclined, and this being Queensland, expect the rugby to trump anything else. It's a fun atmosphere, and the crowd is literally drawn from far and wide. They're usually on their worst behaviour too, so could be fun if globe hopping's your game.
For those on a tight budget, you could go far worse than the prime rump steak with salad and chips for under $15. The food in general is pretty decent as far as counter meals go and certainly easy on the pocket; there's a even a free barbie on Mondays. Considering your average traveller thinks beans on toast or two minute noodles are gourmet, you can't expect Gordon Ramsay standards.

Aussies aren't welcome here. Don't bother going.
