Jeremy's Espresso Bistro
Editorial
While it would be just as comfortable in a little alley somewhere in Europe, Jeremy's bistro prefers to wield its charms on Brisbane's Albert Street. Bringing a dollop more sophistication than most of the local eateries around the city, it woos diners with an all-day menu and a novel wine list. Breakfast choices include homemade Bircher muesli, tasty eggs Florentine with wilted spinach, smoked salmon and a chive hollandaise, and the appealing “posh” baked beans encrusted with melted Parrano cheese, sliced chorizo sausage, Roma tomato and grilled crusty bread.
A wide and openly spaced area at the front of Jeremy's leads to a quaint and exquisite dining spot - one with an elegance, comfort and class that produces the welcoming, warm atmosphere that well-to-do bistros are renowned for. The lunch menu includes options such as a trimmed lamb fillet served with an African cous cous salad and cucumber raita, and popular prawn gnocchi served in a creamy mild wasabi sauce. Dinner puts on a show with a flavoursome sand crab risotto in a deep stock reduction, pan-fried barramundi fillet and barbecued red pork fillet served with a jasmine rice timbale (and completed with a fresh pine-mango salsa). Jeremy's has become a reliable local eatery for any time of the day.
