Jellyfish Restaurant
Editorial
Jellyfish Restaurant lives up to its name. From the unobstructed view of the Brisbane River to the menu's line-caught fish and the decorative jellyfish light fittings, it's easy to hazard a guess that few have seen a classier fish and chip shop. Its modern Australian menu has an easily discernable seafood angle, with the butterfish with wasabi leaves, shaved coconut and kaffir lime the most talked-about dish. Jellyfish's decor suggests days spent by the seaside, with woven, ivory tables and chairs, leather couches along one wall and glass panelling along the riverfront further accentuating the theme.
The low-slung, dim lighting is intimate, unobtrusive and a sight to behold in itself. The outside dining space utilises river views amid sturdy wooden tables adorned with white and navy striped linens. Jellyfish goes out of its way to impress; fast, fresh, modern, sleek and every day a different line-caught fish showcased on the menu. Popular with international guests, nearby residents and corporate diners, Jellyfish also hosts private functions. An uber-modern boating-inspired haven boasting some of the freshest produce available, Jellyfish is an almost unparalleled dining experience.
