Cuvee Lounge
Editorial
For starters, try one for more local cocktails such as the Cobbler with Chandon Rose stirred with raspberries, lemon juice and Aperol, or go for the refreshing Scropino with Chandon Brut Stirred with Limoncello, peach liqueur and a palate-cleansing lemon sorbet. It's possibly a rather decadent start to an evening and may quickly descend into the 'Necessary Luxury' part of the cocktail menu. You'd need to have a credit card handy if you want to indulge in these seriously devilish concoctions: prices start at $35 for the Sazerac, which includes Bourbon Woodford Reserve, Cognac Hennessy XO, Pernod, Peychaud Bitters, and Angostura Bitters.
If you can possibly get past that monster cocktail, your dancing shoes should probably kick in and you can finally move out of the cushy lounge area and mingle with some other guests or try for a table at Thyme2, the a la carte restaurant that is also part of the Sofitel.
Personally, I'm not one to hang out in hotel venues; they seem temporary in some way, like partying in a departure lounge at the airport, but Cuvee is ideal for the cashed-up guest wanting a nearby drink, or for the more romantic type wanting to wave their hotel key.
