Bohemia Bar
Editorial
Bohemia Bar adds a touch of class to Paddington's Caxton street precinct. While the area is better known for pubs and nightclubs, Bohemia is, in its own words, "a stylish, cosmopolitan bar aimed at people who enjoy great drinks and food in a contemporary environment". The decor and fit-out is certainly sleek, comprised of raised platforms, polished wood surfaces and clean lines - it's an exercise in minimalism. This is complimented with a subdued lighting scheme and earthy tones. In a nutshell, it's all very contemporary, clearly aimed at a professional, corporate crowd. The drinks selection reflects this. While the cocktail menu is small, there's plenty there to tempt you. The house speciality is a Bohemian Queen - a mix of fresh limes, Paraiso (lychee) liquor, ginger beer and muddled strawberries.
Alternatively, there's a full selection of imported beers, top-shelf spirits and a nice selection of wine by the glass - just the thing to get over a long, corporate week, or start a long corporate weekend off right. On that note, the name is somewhat misleading; Bohemia Bar is just about the least bohemian place you'll find on that side of town. But the white-collar crowd that frequent don't seem to mind the irony.

Bought a Scoopon for this place and it was always "booked" until the Scoopon ran out and couldn't be used, interestingly enough, the place wasn't booked 3 days after the Scoopon expiry date. What a rip off!!!
