Boardwalk Bar + Bistro
Editorial
'Big jugs of beer on big tables with big views', this is the Boardwalk Bar + Bistro's promise to you, and boy, do they deliver. This casual eatery and bar offers a laid back feel and lots of space to take in the magnificence of the Brisbane River. This is absolute waterfront imbibing.
The Boardwalk is about socialising. It's got a big heart, and you're sure to be chatting with the neighbours if you stay here long enough. And considering their ample license you could actually spend a full 24 hours here. Seriously, you could start off with bacon and eggs and a Bloody Mary in the morning, linger on for lunch and then drift into dinner.
The Boardwalk's location means that this place gets busy. Small and large groups descend of a weekend, and plenty of tourists find their way here too. High level tables are also great if there are a few of you. The 14-metre American Oak bar with back mirrors, ensures you don't miss a second of the view when it's your shout either.
There's five plasma screens so you won't miss a second of the game…any game that is. For tourists there's no need to confuse your pots with your midis and your schooners with your pints; the Boardwalk actually serves every size beer you can imagine. Their Sunday sessions are legendary, and with deals such as the Super Sunday beer and pizza for $7, they come in droves.
