Vagelis
Editorial
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the food is Mediterranean-influenced and features Italian, Greek and occasionally Cajun dishes. Vagelis take their coffee seriously, with only trained baristas serving Di Bellas Modena coffee blend. They are also serious about their food, with large meals made with quality ingredients exuding flavour. For a traditional Greek slant to the evening, try the cheese saganaki (grilled goat's cheese served with tsatsiki, hot pita bread and crisp salad greens), or the prawn saganaki (green prawns oven-baked in tomato salsa and topped with grilled fetta cheese). If you are in the mood for Italian, start with the bruschetta or an antipasto platter (olives, marinated vegetables, haloumi, calamari and octopus) followed by marinara with your choice of pasta. The staff are friendly and professional, and the atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful.

I had breakfast on Sunday, and it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Lauren, the staff member that greeted us was soooo rude, even questioning whether I should have a replacement knife and fork, when it was returned when my order of eggs came out incorrect. And then we were charged $1 for a desert spoon of tomato sauce. An absolute disgrace, and we should not continue to accept bad, arrogant attitudes of the waitstaff such as Lauren. Why do people continue to accept such average service and ridiculous prices?
