Breakfast Creek Hotel

One of the most famous pubs in Queensland, The Brekky Creek Pub was built in 1889 by Lord Mayor William MacNaughton Galloway, who died falling out a second floor window while drunk. You should avoid doing that.

Editorial

The Breakfast Creek Hotel is ingrained in Brisbane's history. Known around the Brissie backstreets as 'Brekky Creek', this place has developed a charming personality and steadfast clientele in its 120 year tenure on Kingsford Smith Drive. The hotel's five bars reside in an 1889 French Renaissance style building. An old-school free-house is a favourite with the locals who can't get enough of the nostalgic assortment of knick-knacks and gloriously verdant beer garden. A recent refurbishment has given the historic joint a little kick and flair, adding tasteful design features and comfy areas for regular patrons.

Get ready to join the ranks in the queue for some tucker! Select your own cold cut of South East Queensland's finest tender fillets. Set your sights on rib eye on the bone, prime rump, petite eye fillet or T-Bone. Your meaty selection will be cooked to perfection alongside side dishes of your fancy. Vegetarians need not despair. There are plenty of options for hearty herbivores including vegetarian lasagna and freshly caught Queensland Barramundi. The Hotel's 66 beer taps offer 18 different kinds of amber brew, including Breakfast Creek's own lager. Unrivalled in reputation, Brekky Creek has earned a place in the hearts of many a Queensland pub punter.

The place was nice and the food wasn't too bad. Bit expensive thought but good area and they serve beer on the tap. For this reason be expected to have tight security guard like going to a nightclub.
