Located on the ground floor of the Skycity Casino complex, near the Keno and slots, is the Kbar, a mellow little bar that creates a quiet haven in the midst of the gambling action. And sometimes you need to take a break from all that gaming, especially when you don't feel that luck is on your side. I've always thought the money's better spent at the bar rather than on the pokies anyway; you'll probably get a better return and actually enjoy your evening.

The Kbar is a great spot to meet friends either before or after dining, or as a destination in itself. The décor is warming and intimate; think of mossy greens and calming soft ambers amidst warm down lights and soft suede textures - all very soothing and a touch romantic. Who'd have thought you'd find such a place in the middle of a casino?

There's usually a lively crowd of punters here who are looking to mingle, and you can also watch your latest sport on the big screen. Beers on tap include Stella, VB, Carlton Draught, Pure Blonde and Carlton Midstrength. There is also a nice selection of bottled imports, great Aussie wines and a delicious range of scintillating cocktails - like the Chocolate Bunny - an over-the-top concoction of Baileys, Kahlua and chocolate syrup. And if you're into your mixed delights, make sure you don't miss happy hour 5pm-6pm daily.

If you need to fortify yourself before you head back out into the fray, snacks or light meals are available from 12 noon daily.
