Is there anything Darwin doesn't have? A cool climate, perhaps, but the amount of choice here sees many travellers blow into town and literally spend the rest of their life just soaking up the humidity and devoting their life to pouring the perfect beer. So it comes as no surprise that the Parap Village Tavern offers more than just one bar and restaurant. Comprising three distinct bars and the Raging Bull Steakhouse, this community is all about the best alcohol, entertainment and fishing that Darwin has to offer.
Each bar is themed and captures a unique atmosphere. Obviously, the air-con is a major drawing card for most, but if you want to look further than temperature, then Parap Village offers a little more variety than the rest of town (hence all the awards). Gaming machines, karaoke, trivia nights, pool comps, sports on the big screen and more keep punters happy. Plus, there's a bottle shop if you need a few travelers for your final destination.
Staple tap beers are all here. A jug of Carlton makes a nice friend to play pool with. There are also the standard boutique beers to lesson your homesickness - Stella, anyone? - and a pleasing wine list, delving from the Tavern's extensive cellar.
