Buzz
Editorial
There is perhaps no more relaxing place in the tropic of Capricornia to get “sprayed”, to use the local expression. Perched on the waterside like a happy, lacy pelican, Buzz bustles with the sound of gentle satisfaction.
In a town where eccentricity is hardly an exception, Buzz is as quirky as they come. We shan't spoil the interior design surprises that await the uninitiated. But, gents, let it be said: what you're seeing in the rest-room is not in your cocktail-affected imagination.
As a bar, Buzz hums. As a restaurant, in the view of some diners, it offers something closer to a drone. Come here for a cocktail or a light lager and one of the city's best views. Don't, necessarily, come here for the food.
Recent years have seen Australia's most multi-culti town come of culinary age. Some of the nation's pickiest foodies come to Darwin to pick over the latest in Pacific Rim dining. There is some extraordinary Asian-Australian fusion dining to be had in town. Don't expect the food at Buzz to be anything more than quite decent.
But, with this view, this vibe and this disinclination to get off your bum and leave such a pleasant locale, sometimes “quite decent” is more than enough.

Buzz is a must do in Darwin. If you haven't been before, get down there before the sun sets. The beer is cold and oddly enough the highlight is the mens toilets. I won't ruin the surprise - but you are in for some fun! This is one of the most relaxing bars in Australia. Don't forget to head across the road to the beach to watch the sunset!
