Editorial

Situated amid the sprawling lawns of the Darwin Trailer Boat Club on the Fannie Bay foreshore, Cee Cea's Bistro retains a simple charm. This is a no-fuss, family-style establishment with views that stretch across the Arafura Sea, making for a top spot to catch the sun drop beneath the horizon in a spectacular show of evolving colour from dusty pink to deep, deep red. Cee Cea's took home the award for Best Club Bistro at the AHA Awards for Excellence in 2002 and 2004 and the Gold Plate Awards in 2001 and 2004 so you can be sure the food is top notch.

Open for lunch and dinner seven days, the modern Australian menu borrows from a variety of cuisines and has some interesting options. Lunch on a selection of salads, sandwiches, and pita or roti wraps, or opt for something more substantial like the Tom Yum Atlantic salmon in an Asian noodle broth. For dinner start with the peri peri prawn, guacamole and wasabi salad followed by the Cee Cea's Beef and Beach: a chargrilled t-bone served with creamy garlic prawns. A separate menu for the littlies ensures the whole family is well catered for, and playground equipment and a pool on the grounds means the grown-ups can relax with a drink from the bar while the kids entertain themselves.
